Finding your joy during the holidays!
I always find the Holidays a challenging time. You may have a big or small group of family or friends that you enjoy spending time with over the holidays. And if you do, I wish you an abundance of fun, laughter and happiness.
If you don't, I would like to offer you some of my ideas to help you enjoy your holiday!
Here are my thoughts on enjoying the Holiday miracle that surround us:
Create your own tradition. I highly recommend the K.I.S.S. approach (keep it simple silly)!
My wish for all is to have the very best day you can, and blessings of peace and love for the New Year!

Here are my thoughts on enjoying the Holiday miracle that surround us:
Create your own tradition. I highly recommend the K.I.S.S. approach (keep it simple silly)!
- Go for a walk. Anywhere that you enjoy. A park, the beach, the woods, even the mall if that is your cup of tea! But make it special. Wear something you love! Your favorite hat, mittens or coat. As you walk silently wish everything you meet good will. Birds, people, trees. Everything. Walk as straight as you can. Take deep breaths. Feel your feet touching the ground, how does the air feel on your face? warm, cool? Notice. Give thanks.
- Plan and do an activity you enjoy. The movies? Plan it, look up the times, buy the ticket and again make it special! Prefer to stream a movie at home? Take time to plan what you are going to watch. You may find a movie or show that will become your go to Holiday Movie. For me it is ET. It always makes me laugh and cry! Get that book you want to read! Paint, Draw, Color! Do you what you enjoy doing!
- Look for your Angels. They are always here. I have a deck of Angel cards (actually I now have many decks). You certainly don't need Angel cards to hear and see messages from you Angels, but I find it a fun and very peaceful way to pray, and receive help with any questions or worries that may be in my life. Messages from your Angels can come in many forms: a penny on the ground, finding a feather on your walk, a bird at your window, a song on the radio. The more aware we become, the more you will know they are with you! Doreen Virtue pulls an Angel card every day on FaceBook / Instagram, and I always enjoy her weekly Angel messages, you may want to check her out too!
- Make yourself a special meal, dessert or treat! Is there a certain food that always makes you feel wonderful! If you enjoy cooking make it! Serve it on a special plate. If cooking and the kitchen is not your thing, buy yourself that meal, dessert or treat! When you go to eat it! Appreciate every bit of it! The wonderful energy that went into making it, how wonderful it looks! The smell! Give thanks and enjoy.
- Honor your feelings. For me, it is okay to visit memories of Christmas past, I just don't like to stay too long there. The saying is true, the past is history, and the most important moment is the present. My best present to myself is to stay in the present and enjoy the moment at hand.
My wish for all is to have the very best day you can, and blessings of peace and love for the New Year!
